Center the grid before ordering tiles
A straight grid uses the actual tile dimensions plus grout. This planner intersects each tile with the usable rectangle, so edge-cut sizes come from the layout rather than dividing the room area by a tile area.
Centering a tile and centering a joint can produce different edge cuts. Compare both before choosing a starting line. The map assumes a rectangular room with no obstacles or pattern offsets. A maximum of 2,500 visible pieces keeps it manageable in the browser.
Material quantities are conservative. Every cut cell counts as a separate whole blank, even when two cuts could be taken from the same tile.
